Research Topic: Impact of Audiologist-Guided Cognitive Behavioural Therapy on Tinnitus

Research Project: People who live with tinnitus go through everyday life with a ringing noise in their ear, although no external noise source is present. This may cause distress, leading to problems in sleep, concentration, and emotional well-being. Where tinnitus has no cure, this creates a strong need for standardized, evidence-based approaches. My research explores how audiologists can play a larger role in delivering evidence-based interventions for tinnitus, with a particular focus on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. Through studying this topic, we hope to understand how quality of life may improve for those living with tinnitus after therapy and find effective strategies for managing tinnitus.

In my free time, I enjoy writing poetry, dancing dabke, playing backgammon, and playing the piano.
