Dr. Jafari, Neuroscientist and Audiologist (CCC-A), is an Assistant Professor in the School of Communication Sciences and Disorders (SCSD) at Dalhousie University, with cross-appointments in Geriatric Medicine, Psychology and Neuroscience, and Otolaryngology. She holds doctoral degrees in Cognitive Neuroscience and Rehabilitation Sciences, complemented by a postdoctoral fellowship at the Canadian Centre for Behavioral Neuroscience, University of Lethbridge. Dr. Jafari’s research centers on hearing and speech neuroscience, cognitive neuroscience, healthy aging, cognitive decline, and modifiable risk factors for dementia. Dr. Jafari's research program emphasizes collaboration and promotes innovative, cross-disciplinary research initiatives.
