Dr. Ellen M. Hickey, SLP-R, CCC-SLP, is an Associate Professor of speech-language pathology. Her areas of expertise include adult neurological communication and cognitive disabilities and their impact on activities, participation, and quality of life. She has recently become interested in the area of menopause and its effects on cognition, communication, and hearing. Lastly, she has been involved in the international development of speech-language pathology/therapy and decolonization of the profession and equitable services for persons of the majority world.
